We waited and waited and waited sooo long for the next book to come out. I'm not sure, though, whether I'll have time for a complete reread. Kid #1 hasn't really gotten into them yet, but I'm biding my time to convert her.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1483877654474162845.post-89410173059223326182015-10-30T20:20:52.574+11:002015-10-30T20:20:52.574+11:00Isn't it funny how you associate books and fil...Isn't it funny how you associate books and films with periods in time. For me, Harry Potter is dark nights and cold weather because I saw it at my first drive in. I read the books before the movie, but like you I immediately went out and bought the second in the series after I'd finished Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone, I couldn't get enough!Whitneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05929468785993424955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1483877654474162845.post-906776159921090692015-10-30T12:36:21.336+11:002015-10-30T12:36:21.336+11:00Isn't it funny what the kids will take a fixed...Isn't it funny what the kids will take a fixed dislike to? <br />I admire your self control - to stop at just one HP is remarkable! Sometimes I get a few ahead which is always nice. It does take the pressure off, but then if I only get one blog post out in a week the world barely stops. Now, for a confession. Should I tell you? I've only ever read the first HP book! I know. Way back in 2000 when I first joined an online book group. I always assumed that I'd read the others when my son got to the right age, but he took a fixed dislike to HP without having read any of them or seen the movies (he has a tendency to be prejudiced like that) and so he boycotted them, and I've never read the whole series. I will read more one day, I think 3 of them are in the 1001 list, this summer though will sadly not be the time. Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13187730620736345378noreply@blogger.com
