A few years ago I decided to re-read them. I began with Little Women and I enjoyed it although I thought it was a sentimental and moral tale, which I hadn't thought it was as a child, and some of the magic was still there. I had intended to re-read the other books but didn't get round to it and now you've got me thinking maybe I'll re-read Good Wives soon.

I read Eden's Outcasts a few years ago and I learnt a lot from it as it reveals the relationship between Louisa and her father as well as about other writers such as Emerson, Thoreau and Hawthorne. It's a very detailed book.

I read Mrs Dalloway or To the Lighthouse, some years ago but haven't read The Voyage Out - so I'm planning to read that in March as part of Heavenali's Woolfalong.BooksPleasehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08721650104596705715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1483877654474162845.post-25160630316010006942016-02-27T18:02:01.958+11:002016-02-27T18:02:01.958+11:00I only started reading Alcott's books when I w...I only started reading Alcott's books when I was an adult. I came across title a few years ago called 'The Baron's Glove' a romance a little different from her others. I've read that she also wrote some Gothic horror but haven't seen any of those. Woolf is an author I've never read. Enjoy your lazy spell!Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06820925595506920754noreply@blogger.com
