The method of going back and forth in time and place with the characters added interest. His style made it reasonably easy for you to know where and when you were most of the time. The longer I read the harder it was to put it down. A really good read. BUT I am glad I did not live in those places at this time.

Marlene
Top rated Real Estate Horseshoe BayMarlene Detierrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09035816972520443608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1483877654474162845.post-5610880630119453192015-07-04T14:24:32.320+10:002015-07-04T14:24:32.320+10:00I also works beautifully as an audiobookI also works beautifully as an audiobookAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1483877654474162845.post-74626444443143097992015-06-24T13:06:34.852+10:002015-06-24T13:06:34.852+10:00Yes I agree. But early on, Marie in that house was wonderfully done. thecuecardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08870323589682197091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1483877654474162845.post-33756293246487823562015-06-23T09:30:02.547+10:002015-06-23T09:30:02.547+10:00Yes, I thought it was a great description of a cit...Yes, I thought it was a great description of a city on the brink or war and a huge change.Bronahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11110584237325026052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1483877654474162845.post-18704793326220763512015-06-23T00:16:57.419+10:002015-06-23T00:16:57.419+10:00beautiful quote - thx for sharing and hapPy readin...beautiful quote - thx for sharing and hapPy reading !Faith Hope and Cherryteahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06170392449995588653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1483877654474162845.post-74696993168577957362015-06-21T11:56:58.401+10:002015-06-21T11:56:58.401+10:00I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I felt the technology used during the war was about communication and connection and that if he wanted to explore how technology for communication and connection has changed over the decades then that's what he should have written, not just a quick couple of chapters at the end with a grandson playing a game.
But I did like having the main characters storylines wrapped up. It was satisfying seeing how they all ended up, even if some of it was bittersweet knowledge.Bronahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11110584237325026052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1483877654474162845.post-44482355746504467542015-06-19T04:34:05.916+10:002015-06-19T04:34:05.916+10:00I want to read this book so much!
