It's about all the stuff we learn about ourselves and the world as we travel through it. It's about working out our purpose in life. It's about obsession."
I know someday I will give credit to this book with the same #slowread that you have inspired. Maybe... maybe! When I have retired and have looong hours to read! :))

Congratulations to you, for finishing this masterpiece, and for the successful readalong. It has been one of the most fun readalongs I've ever had!Fanda Classiclithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07642429343958941266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1483877654474162845.post-80191444085296666312020-03-05T16:03:28.708+11:002020-03-05T16:03:28.708+11:00I never thought I would come to love it so much ei...I never thought I would come to love it so much either Silvia. There's been a bunch of stuff I would not have seen without this.

It is interesting how many things are going on, isn't it? It's supposed to be true of every classic, but it seems particularly true of this one, that you can find things in it and I can and Mabel can and Luigi can and they can all be different and they can all be true. There's just so much going on.

And I love that quote from The Classics Reclassified.reesehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15818057262934008241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1483877654474162845.post-69915490742571581512020-03-05T00:34:53.279+11:002020-03-05T00:34:53.279+11:00What an spectacular post. It’s because of you that I got to read this amazing book in the span of two or three months, which wasn’t as slow and intentional as your reading, but which I didn’t feel rushed at all. I just craved the book every night, though there were some moments when I left time in between reading it.

His rambling chapters ended up being my favorites. I don’t know, I just never thought I would love it soooo much.

Thanks for the inspiration and posts. I want to read ir again, maybe later this year. I'm so inspired to read something huge the way you have read Moby-Dick (remembered the hyphen). But first I have to overcome some of my own personal fears of reading at a slower pace and stopping to investigate and study. At least I want to REREAD this way...as Adler says in How to Read a Book....the first read is quick, like skimming, but the second read is slower and deeper; like the way you read MD your first time. Pretty amazing! Ruth @ with freedom and bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15531827758868215023noreply@blogger.com
