Classic Club Spin #3

I can't believe I nearly missed this!

I've been so busy with Austen in August (and a few personal things as well!) that I forgot to check in with the Classics Club this month.

It was only as I was browsing fellow Janeites Austen in August posts last night that I came across Heavenali's spin #3 post.

To catch up requires a little cheat though.

It was too late to create a new spin list as the number had already been drawn - its number 4, by the way.

So I found my Spin #2 post and decided to use that as my guide.

Which means that I will now be reading Daphne du Maurier's My Cousin Rachel by the end of September.
(If I read this as quickly as I think I probably will, I may even recycle my spin #1 post and read Mary Barton by Elizabeth Gaskell !)

Happy Reading!

  1. That's a good one! I read it years ago... Love DuMaurier.

  2. Thank you for this reminder. I had completely forgotten about the latest spin. I like your idea of using the list from last time especially since I failed to read the book selected. So that means this time around I will be reading Dr Thorne by Anthony Trollope.

  3. Enjoy! It's on my Classics Club list, too... will look forward to your thoughts.

I love hearing from you but I understand that blogger commenting can be a frustrating experience for many.

Make sure you're logged into your account before writing your comment, otherwise blogger will eat it. I have occasionally found lost comments by hitting the back arrow button.

A recent discussion with blogger admin revealed that the ability to post comments "is sensitive to both cookie and script filters. Your readers may need to enable (stop filtering) 'third party cookies', in their browser and on their computer. And, have them check their script filters, too. Third party cookies filtering, in a browser setting, is the most common solution. Filters are subject to update, by the creator. If the problem started a few days ago, your readers may have to look on their computers, and find out what product or accessory was updated, a few days ago."
I hope this helps. Using a different browser for a while was another suggestion.

Thanks to another increase in spam comments I have now added word verification on ALL posts.
