CBCA Shortlist 2016

I know I say this every year, but how can it be a whole year since the last CBCA Shortlist?

My aim, as usual, is to read as many of them as possible before the winners are announced in August.

Sadly, Gillian Mears died at age 51 earlier this week after living with MS for 17 years.
Her wonderfully sweet story, The Cat With the Coloured Tail is now made all the more poignant.

  1. The Shortlist announcement is always an exciting time. I'll be trying to read as many as I can too, although it's always a challenge for me to get through many. It'll be another few months of exciting reading ahead.

    1. What I love about these shortlists, is how it makes me read books I probable wouldn't get to otherwise. I've just finished A Single Stone by Meg McKinlay - it's a fabulous read, a great story with a wonderful protagonist. It certainly deserves it's place on the shortlist.
